DR. EDWARD FRIEDMAN “In Afghanistan”

Dr. Edward A. Friedman is a physicist, educator, and author. He served as the Dean of Students at the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he led Stevens to become the first U.S. college to require all students to own a computer. Over his career, he has pioneered the use of technology in STEM education. His wide-ranging work has also included directing an indigenous school of technology in Afghanistan, and health technology projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2025, he published a book on the history and future of nuclear energy.
